Join us for Part 2 of Summer Institute.

Part 2 will be held in the Gardens of Lake Merritt from 8:30-3:30pm with a 1 hour lunch break.

 This in-person workshop will include:

• Welcome and orientation

• Visit our program serving K-3rd grade students

• Observe word science embedded in a morning meeting routine

• “Walk and talk” - Q&A while strolling to the Gardens

• Observe field journal and word science activities

• Lunch Break (on your own, many options nearby)

• Debrief program visit and unpack activities

• “Make and Take” - prep your own lesson to bring back to your learning community

• Closing reflection & next steps

Price includes Part 1’s introductory session (online). Appropriate for K-8 teachers, learning specialists, and anyone working with emergent readers.
